Improvements to the Blogger template HTML editor

Whether you’re a web developer who builds blog templates for a living, or a web-savvy blog owner who prefers to make changes to your template using HTML, CSS or JavaScript, you may be interested in some enhancements that we made to Blogger’s Template HTML Editor.

Your blog’s HTML template is the source code that controls the appearance of your blog. This template can be customized to appear however you’d like. The improved HTML template editor now supports line numbering, syntax highlighting, auto-indentation and code folding to make editing your template much easier.

Suppose we wanted to move the date of a blog post underneath the post title, similar to the Blogger Buzz blog. To do this, follow these steps:

Click the “Template” tab on the Blogger dashboard, then the “Edit HTML” button, to see the new template HTML editor:

Locate the “Blog1” widget quickly using the new “Jump to widget” drop down:

This widget controls how your blog posts are displayed. The code inside the widget is folded by default. Clicking the new fold markers ‘►’ next to the line numbers expands the widget and reveals a set of “includable” tags:

Inside the “main” includable is the block of code that renders the post date:

Cut the post date code section and move it to where we want it, in this case, under the post title in the “post” includable:

To check our changes, click the new “Preview template” button to see the updates:

The post date is exactly where we want it, so tab back to “Edit template”, hit “Save template” and we’re done!

Finally, we’ve added a “Format template” button that automatically cleans up the indentation of the template, and made it possible to search for text by pressing “Ctrl+F” once you’ve clicked into the editor. To find and replace text occurrences one by one, use “Ctrl+Shift+F” or to find and replace all occurrences at once, use “Ctrl+Shift+R”.

Cara Agar Blog Terindeks Lebih Cepat Google | Artikel-artikel lama maupun yang baru di blog Anda yang telah Anda publish belum tentu akan terindex oleh Google. Apalagi jika blog Anda masih terbilang baru.

Untuk mengindeks blog atau website kita agar Google menjelajahi (Crawl) Blog atau Website kita secara otomatis menggunakan Software yang biasa disebut "Spiders" yang akan menjelajahi (crawl) web secara teratur untuk menemukan situs-situs ataupun konten baru yang ada di dunia internet.

Salah satu cara agar blog atau website kita lebih cepat dijelajahi (crawl) Google dengan mendaftar blog/web ke Google dan Submit Sitemap menggunakan Google Webmaster Tools. Dengan begitu maka Google akan menjelajahi (crawl) blog/web Anda secara teratur. Tapi yang menjadi kendala adalah berapa lama waktu yang diperlukan Google untuk menjelajahi artikel baru kita sehingga muncul pada hasil pencarian. Tentu kita sebagai blogger ataupun webmaster menginginkan Artikel baru yang kita buat dapat terindeks lebih cepat dalam hitungan menit.

Sebenarnya Google menyediakan berbagai fasilitas bagi kita untuk memberitahu atau menyuruh Google menjelajahi artikel baru yang kita buat maupun artikel lama yang belum terindeks sehingga terindeks lebih cepat. Informasi ini saya dapatkan dari Webmaster Tools Help "Ask Google to crawl a page or site"

Nah, Jika Anda ingin artikelnya terindeks lebih cepat selain Melakukan Ping blog, suruhlah Google agar menjelajahi (crawl) artikel anda. Berikut langkah-langkahnya untuk memberitahu Google menjelajahi (crawl) Blog Anda.

1. Kunjungi Google Webmaster Tools, klik blog/web yang anda inginkan jika anda mempunyai blog/web lebih dari satu.
2. Pada Dashboard, dibawah Health, Klik Fetch As Google
3. Pada text box pilih url yang akan di submit
   
   
4. Pada dropdown list pilih Web
5. Klik Fetch dan Google akan fetch url yang di submit. Tunggu beberapa saat sekitar 10 sampai 15 menit agar status updated.
6. Jika fetch status sudah sukses kemudian klik Submit to Index, dan klik hal berikut

• Untuk submit individual URL ke Google index, pilih URL dan klik Submit. Anda bisa submit 500 URLs per-minggu dengan cara ini.
• Untuk submit URL dan halaman yang terkait, klik URL and all linked pages. Anda bisa submit 10 request per-bulan dengan cara ini

Catatan : Google tidak memberikan garansi bahwa setiap URL yang anda submit akan di indeks.
